Yet, this very decision gives rise to a spirit far more beautiful and resilient than before; the choice transforms into a swarm of butterflies, birthed from the very roots of one’s own being. The past no longer has a place—for the person who once lived it, no longer exists.

The subject finds herself alone in a vast desert, seeking to gather the scattered pieces of her being and restore her spirit following the disappointments and setbacks that have left her body broken. She draws nourishment from the earth to forge a new soul.
The red flower represents emotion, while the tattered black garment symbolizes a past that is beginning to slip away from her body, much like silk.
