It manifests as the soul retreating deep within itself, into a dark, confined space, to summon the resolve to break free from the life—and the people—that once shattered it. Yet, this very decision gives rise to a spirit far more beautiful and resilient than before; the choice transforms into a swarm of butterflies, birthed from the very roots of one’s own being. The past no longer has a place—for the person who once lived it, no longer exists.

When our eyelids close in sleep, a hidden journey toward unknown realms begins—realms whose details we experience and feel, even as we lose sight of our actual whereabouts, until reality eventually stirs us and brings us back to the waking world.
Interpreting the work: Her body appears fragmented, dissolving bit by bit—much like a film strip melting away across time and space—a visual representation of the intangible sensation that accompanies our transition into the realm of our own imagination. She is naked, unconstrained, embodying absolute liberation. The mask, meanwhile, serves as a symbol of mystery—representing those concealed facets of her personality that we choose not to reveal, those depths that remain uncharted, as if they were a secret we prefer to leave undiscovered.

A surrealist work, created in 2019, that explores the internal struggle between longing and forgetting. The subject finds herself alone in a vast desert, seeking to gather the scattered pieces of her being and restore her spirit following the disappointments and setbacks that have left her body broken. She draws nourishment from the earth to forge a new soul.
The red flower represents emotion, while the tattered black garment symbolizes a past that is beginning to slip away from her body, much like silk.
